Characters
Here, I am just going to put my thoughts and feelings of each playable
character. If you disagree with any, then BOO HOO!
Crono
 
Lightning
|
Crono is the
coolest! He's the strongest character in the game, his
Luminaire is a killer, and his defense high. And he uses a
katana! A katana for crying out loud!
Too bad he's mute, I
would've liked for him to speak up more, actually, he never said
a word in the game. But I'm used to that, what do you
expect out of SNES games, it's not like they could fit in voice
acting in 32 bit technology (don't count Star Ocean).

Marle
 
Ice

Eh. That's
all I have to say about her. Sometimes she gets on my
nerves, personality wise. Plus, she's weak. That's a
major bummer.
I don't know why she
wants to get out in the world, that's such a cliché-ed story:
Princess wants out, travels to new places, blah blah.
Except the fact that the chancellor is a real pain in the arse,
I guess I could understand why.

Lucca
 
Fire

She's pretty
cool. She invents a lot of cool stuff, and the nostalgia
in Chrono Cross of her just blew me away. I'm not going to
give away spoilers, but (SPOILER) WHY DOES
SHE DIE!?!? Ahem, just scan your innocent eyes away
from that with that spoiler.
I like the fact she
brings technology in the game, it sorta reminds me of Cid in
Final Fantasies. And she made an orphanage in Chrono
Cross, how sweet!

Robo

I use Robo more
than I use Marle. He has all the healing magics you need,
and you could heal the entire party with just him, and with
Marle, you need Crono. He's strong physically, too.
And another (SPOILER) in Crono Cross:
WHY DOES FATE HAVE TO KILL HIM, TOO?!?!?
*sobs* So many die, why doesn't Marle die?
His story sorta
makes me sad, too. He was made to go against humans, but
Lucca fixed him to get along with humans. And the part
when all the robots fought him, it was depressing.

I love this
little critter! His story must be one of the best in
Chrono Trigger. His theme brings tears to my eyes.
And eventually he does wield the Masamune, which is as cool as
Glenn in Chrono Cross wielding the Einlanzer.
I know a lot of
rumors going on that Glenn in Chrono Cross is Frog, but it's not
true! How can it be, they both have completely different
story lines, different families, different kingdoms. And I
think in the anime FMV ending that Frog gets turned back into a
human. But, still, all they share in common is the name
Glenn, and that's not proof enough that they're the same person. |
Ayla

Ayla
is average, I like her Kiss ability that makes her steal
items. I don't use her that much though.
Many say Leah in
Chrono Cross is Ayla's and Kino's daughter. I believe so,
it makes sense, Leah speaks just like her, acts like her, has
the same hair. But what irks me is that Leah is in the
year 1020 A.D. and Ayla is in the year 65,000,000 B.C. O.O
Maybe Leah traveled in the Epoch?

Magus

Magus
is just plain cool. Come on, he has a scythe! A
sickle! A really really cool blade! Sure, he's good
magic wise, but defense - no. I love how he pulls on his
glove after each battle!
Again with my Chrono
Cross tie ins. Did he find Schala? Is he Guile?
(Which I think is highly unlikely). But the question will
once again remain unanswered, THANK YOU, SQUARE! (saracastic).
