Endings

As you know, Chrono Trigger has multiple endings, and most are obtained using New Game+.  There are many, let me repeat, MANY spoilers ahead, so if you're a spoiler virgin, DON'T READ ON!!

The not-so-good ending
If you lose to Lavos in any time dimension, no matter what method you use to get there, you'll see this ending. Lavos comes out of the center of the Earth. The future command center is destroyed.

Weird Makers Ending
Defeat Lavos before you rescue Queen Leene in 600 AD or at the Ocean Palace. You come to the end of time. Every character you see is voiced by members of the Chrono Trigger development team. They say hello to you and say where they're from, and they talk about the making of CT. They even tell you to send them letters.

Frog and Leene Ending
Defeat Lavos after coming back from 600 AD and saving the Queen. You will be at the fair. People will talk about Marle and her clothes. When you proceed to the castle, the King tells you about a 400 year old wedding video. It shows Frog and Queen Leene getting married, and also shows that Marles father is now a frog.

Nu and Ribbit Ending
Defeat Lavos directly after entering the End of Time. During the credits of this ending it shows a Nu and Ribbit playing some sort of tag. The Nu is falling asleep while the Ribbit is bothering him.
(Dee's note:  This one's a sleeper.)

Robo and Tata Ending
Defeat Lavos directly after arriving in 600 AD, after coming from 2300 AD. It shows Robo and his girlfriend in front of the Leene Bell in the near future. You are then shown a scene where Tata is sitting on the throne with King Guardia and Leene. Tata then proceeds to chase Magus. After chasing him she finds that Crono, Marle, and Lucca are all laughing at him.

Miscellaneous Ending
Defeat Lavos directly after getting the Hero Medal from Tata. While the credits are rolling it shows a bunch of different clips. Some of them are: Crono, Marle, and Lucca are coming out of the closet in monster village; Magus at the cove with his three buddies; Kino and Ayla playing with reptiles; Frog playing in the cursed woods; King Guardia and Queen Leene; and Robo running around.

The Character Ending
Defeat Lavos directly after getting the Red Stone in 65 000 000 BC. While the credits are rolling, the characters are shown in groups and by themselves.

Frog and Magus Ending
Defeat Lavos directly after Frog releases the power of the Masamune. During the credits you watch Frog defeat Magus's buddies, and then go right at Magus himself. After the hard fought battle, you see Frog standing alone on the statue above the gate to Magus's castle.

Reptile Ending (pretty weird)
Defeat Lavos directly after you defeat Magus. You see the opening sequence to the game. The only weird thing is that everyone is a reptite (Green Jogger type). When you are at the Millennial, you see that everyone is reptite except for the Green Jogger, who is human. After the credits, Azala is crushed by the "THE END" sign.

Frog and Others Ending
Defeat Lavos directly after defeating Azala in 65 000 000 BC. During the credits, you see a scene of Frog approaching the statue with 2 chests. You then see some scenes including Magus, Janus, and Schala.

Marle and Lucca Ending
Defeat Lavos directly after Schala opens the sealed door in 12 000 BC. Make sure not to power up the pendant. This ending shows a slideshow with Marle and Lucca.

Moonlight Parade (without Crono or Magus)
Defeat Lavos directly after defeating Magus. After beating Magus, he tells you that Frogs curse is released. If you then use the bucket to beat Lavos right after Magus, without restoring Crono, you will be at the Millennial Fair. The only person in the middle of the Square is Lucca. When you are in the north part of the fair, the other characters(not Crono or Magus) come out of the time machine. The weird thing is that Frog is now human! And Lucca has a crush on him. Everyone goes back to get Crono, while Marle and Lucca talk to the king. They then leave on the Epoch while the king tries to hang the bell.

Moonlight Parade (without Crono, but with Magus)
Defeat Lavos with Magus in your party. If Lavos was beaten before Crono was restored then you will end up at the end of time. Everybody is laying on the ground. Talk to the guru, he says that the gate is closing and that everyone must leave at once. Everyone goes back to the time that they are from except Marle and Lucca. Marle goes to the Moonlight Parade. She sees her allies throughout the people. When she ends up in the north part again, she see's that everyone is there. They all go back to get Crono, while Marle meets her father. She is later carried off by balloons while the credits appear. She lands by a tree, and looks around to see Crono coming from the distance. They run towards each other while the screen fades out.

Moonlight Parade (with Crono, but without Magus)
Defeat Lavos after beating Magus and saving Crono. If you didn't get a clone before Crono is killed, just talk to the Keeper and you will be let into the fair. This ending is pretty much exactly the same as the next ending, except Magus isn't there in this one.

Moonlight Parade (with Crono and Magus)
Defeat Lavos while on the same side as Magus, with Crono alive. The opening scene of the game appears, except that there is one new thing, there's a soldier with Crono talking about how Crono will be executed. The King says that he is upset, but then thanks him for saving the three eras. The Chancellor will be in this scene if you let him out of the chest, otherwise, it will be the lawyer Pierre. Several ally's appear explaining the adventures that they experienced. (Kino, Doan etc.) When the Moonlight Parade is done, your allies are seen at the north end of the fair grounds preparing for departure.

Without crashing Epoch into Lavos
Crono's cat leaps into the time machine. Crono's mother soon follows the cat. And then any extra cats that you got will follow. Crono, Marle and Lucca ride the Epoch to find them. It then shows the King trying to hang the Nadia bell.

After crashing Epoch into Lavos
The time machine shuts down immediately after the teams departure. Crono, Marle and Lucca then talk to the King, who presents the Nadia bell. Marle grabs some balloons and starts to fly away. Crono grabs hold and they both fly away while the credits fade in.

Note: The Moonlight Parade endings will be different depending on whether you saved Lara from being crippled, and how many cats you received for Crono's house.
